Changing the display order or arrangement of cameras on UNIVIEW recorders

You have two options to change the layout or number of cameras displayed on the recorder view (on a screen connected directly to the recorder)

• From the recorder's web interface
• From the recorder's interface (via its screen)

Changing the display from the web interface 

Go to the Settings menu and then Preview

Here you can:

• Change Video Output
• Change the resolution of the recorder screen
• Change the number of windows and layout
• Change the number of windows displayed during an alarm
• Set up sequences

On most devices, the video output will only be HDMI/VGA. On devices with multiple outputs of the same type, the type will be displayed with numbering (e.g. HDMI 1 and HDMI 2)

Matches the resolution of the recorder on the screen

Represents the layout of the camera screens, it is possible to change it via the logo above the visualization of the camera locations.

Corresponds to the number of windows displayed during an alarm (pop-up window during a motion alarm)

Allows the activation of sequences that correspond to the page change (for example, on the current configuration, the device will take 8 seconds to move from page 1 to page 2). The sequence will go back to page 1 when he doesn't have a camera on the page.

Configuring camera locations

After choosing the type of positioning (preview window) you will be able to configure your camera locations.  To select a location, click on a box, it will then change to blue; You will then be able to add or remove a camera on the selected box by checking or unchecking a camera channel

To see if a slot is already occupied, look below the box number, if you have a channel number (represented by a 'D' followed by a number) then the slot is already occupied.

Changing the display from the recorder interface

To access the settings for changing the display of cameras, you need to go to the System Recorder Menu -> Overview

The options on this page are the same as those of the web interface, however we have 2 new options:

• Displaying camera numbers
• The Display Report

Allows the display of camera IDs at the bottom left of recording windows

Allows you to choose between original or extended, it allows you to choose whether you want to have the image of the cameras in original resolution (camera resolution) or in extended resolution (magnification of the image to complete the box. Warning: A blurry image may appear)

Configuring camera locations

After choosing the placement type (Preview window) you will be able to configure your camera locations.  To select a location, click a checkbox. It will then turn blue.

You can then add a camera to the selected box by checking the circle next to the camera ID (or click on the trash can logo to remove the camera.)
