Setting up a UNIVIEW KB-2100 Joystick with a UNIVIEW Recorder or Camera

Prerequisites: The recorder must be connected via RJ45 on the same network as your UNIVIEW recorder.

By default, the joystick password is: 123456

1. Configure the IP address of the KB-2100 Joystick:

• Access the System Setting menu > Wired Network on the touchscreen

• Make sure that the IP address of the joystick is on the same IP address range as the NVR or PTZ camera.

Example: If the NVR is 192.168.1.100, configure the joystick to static IP 192.168.1.110.

2. Add the NVR or camera into the joystick

• Go to Keyboard Operations > Menu at the top left and then Resource Management to add a device.

• Select Encode Device and then + to add a device
  • Manual Add
  • Search on the LAN network: Auto Search

If your equipment appears in the list, select the then edit the username/password

 Validate with SAVE.

3. Access PTZ Control

• On the Live View, select your PTZ camera to control

• Press PTZ to access the control. 

Use the joystick to orient the camera.
